Stacey Cheli, founder, President and Director of Interior Design of SCI design group, has over 15 years of successful commercial interior design experience. Stacey has developed a reputation in the industry as a creative, dependable, customer-focused partner. She designs spaces using unique materials and creative color schemes that reflect the personality of her clients, while working within their defined standards and budgets. Her clients praise her for her ability to deliver timely, yet thorough design solutions even when faced with an aggressive time schedule and challenging criteria. Most of all, Stacey is known for her warm and friendly nature.

Since starting her own design studio, Stacey has led design projects for healthcare providers, automotive dealerships, aerospace engineers, corporate offices, education, retail, hospitality and churches. For these clients, Stacey’s design services have included concept development, finish materials selection and detailing, furniture selection, art coordination and space planning. In addition, Stacey has provided project management services including cost estimating, bid review and coordination, contract administration, and construction document preparation. She has often served as the interface between clients, architects, contractors, and users.

Stacey developed her craft at Taylor & Associates Architects in Newport Beach, an award winning architecture and design firm. Working closely with leading national healthcare providers, she also developed a range of design experience in hospitals, hotels, dining environments, child development centers, office buildings, and data centers.

Stacey holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interior Design from California State University, Long Beach, where she has returned to critique students’ senior theses. An advocate of young designers, she is a frequent guest speaker at Orange Coast College and has been a judge of the International Interior Design Association scholarship program.

Outside of the office, Stacey enjoys hiking, camping, traveling and volunteering in church ministries. She has also developed her own unique style of artwork – a blend of painting and multimedia sculpture – which has been displayed in local Southern California galleries.
